Herb Preparation

Here are the instructions for preparing the herbs:

For daily packets:

1. Put the herbs into a ceramic or glass pot. Do not use a metal pot.

2. Put in enough water to just cover the herbs. Make sure you hold down the herbs so they are not floating.

3. Bring to boil and reduce down to half the original amount within 30 minutes.

4. Pour out and filter the herbal tea. This is your first brew. Save it.

5. Pour more water to cover the herbs again and repeat steps 2 and 3.

6. Pour out the second brew through a filter then combine with the first brew.

7. Split your tea and take a minimum of twice per day. You can also split it up into more portions and take throughout the day. Just make sure to warm it up before taking.

For weekly packets:

1. Put the herbs into a ceramic or glass pot. Do not use a metal pot.

2. Put in a gallon of clean water. Or the amount instructed when you picked up the herbs

3. Bring to boil and turn down to a simmer immediately following. Simmer for 40 minutes or the amount instructed when you received the herbs.

4. Turn off the herbs and let cool.

5. Pour out and filter the herbal tea then store in glass jars inside your fridge.

Pour out the amount for consumption and heat before taking. Gauge the amount so that you will finish the tea in a weeks time.

Added May 28, 2012:

Some people expressed concern that they can not find clay or glass pots anymore. Try going to an asian supermarket or Chinese Herbal Pharmacy. I know several asian supermarkets on Stockton Blvd. that carry these pots.
